British Airways has begun its National Apprenticeship Week campaign, and is running a recruitment drive to secure more than 200 participants.

British Airways has started three new apprenticeships as part of its National Apprenticeship Week campaign. This year, its recruitment drive is searching for more than 200 people to join the airline across three core functions: Customer, Operations, and Professional Business Support.

The three new roles launched are within Project Management, Customer Contact, and Head Office Support. The company is also running a series of workshops and attending roadshows to showcase the brand and its programme to teachers, youths, and parents around the Heathrow area.

The exercise includes a workshop at the carrier’s Waterside head office and exhibiting at the World of Work Roadshow in Twickenham.

“Our apprentices are given real responsibility and the chance to gain professional qualifications. Apprentices are an important part of our future and we can offer them the experience they need to set them up for a future career,” said Nigel Jeremy, Chief Learning Officer at British Airways.

British Airways is a three-time winner of the World Branding Awards in the Airline category.
