With its new musical and scent-based solution, Billabong invites guests to re-discover its stylish clothing range and sports equipment.
Surf clothes and equipment juggernaut, Billabong, has appointed customer experience design specialist, Mood Media, to develop the sound and scent for several of its flagship stores. The latter has created a bespoke strategy for 10 locations across France and Spain.
Combining youth, dynamism, and fun, the marque is using the direction to reflect the ‘board culture’ and values of the brand. Said design partner will renew the strategy every two months to maintain originality and ensure customers enjoy a unique experience upon each visit.
The Mood team, in partnership with ScentAir, also created a tailored scent solution for Billabong stores. A fragrance called Sex Wax, based on the well-known surfboard wax brand, was concocted to allow patrons the opportunity to relish the essence of the brand.
