Joining the restructured Arc leadership team are five industry veterans, including Chris Cancilla, Karuna Rawal, and Bob Raidt.
Shopper marketing and activation agency, Arc, has made several key leadership changes to better serve current Leo Burnett, Arc, and Publicis Communications clients in America as well as globally. A key hire is Chris Cancilla (pictured right) who steps in as Chief Creative Officer for the United States.
The new commission renders him responsible for building the firm’s creative culture. While placing a significant focus on craft and effectiveness, he is to oversee a team of 150 players. He will report to and work closely with newly minted Leo Burnett U.S. Chief Creative Officer, Britt Nolan.
He returns to Arc after most recently serving as Executive Creative Director at VSA Partners and Chief Creative Officer at Trisect. Cancilla last worked with the group eight years ago when he spearheaded creative product for brands such as McDonald’s, Purina, and Kellogg’s.
A second appointment entails the naming of Karuna Rawal (pictured left) to a dual role where he takes on the office of President of Arc United States and Chief Strategy Officer for Arc Worldwide. She will take charge of operations and growth to elevate the agency’s capability, connectivity, and performance.
She was formerly EVP, Business Lead for the brand’s Procter & Gamble as well as Walmart accounts in North America. In her complementary capacity, Rawal will helm strategic planning across key global markets and report to Leo Burnett Worldwide Chief Executive Officer, Rich Stoddart.
Most recently, she served as strategic lead for Leo Burnett’s critically acclaimed #LikeAGirl campaign. She brings to the table more than 20 years of experience in brand management and shopper marketing across the consumer packaged goods, retail, and healthcare industries.
Additionally, previous Global President, Bob Raidt, comes on board the Arc team as Global Chief Executive Officer just as Nick Jones moves into a new position to lead global business development and innovation. Meanwhile, Scott Fry assumes the title of VP, Group Executive Producer, joining the U.S. leadership team.
