Canadian coffee chain, Tim Hortons, has rolled out its store first in China. The new restaurant is strategically located in central Shanghai.
Tim Hortons has opened its first location in China. Kicking off the exclusive franchise joint agreement signed with the Cartesian Capital Group last year, the store is located at the People’s Square in central Shanghai. The launch furthers the brand’s worldwide expansion.
Naturally, a fresh assortment of customised items will be introduced to complement the local palate. Key highlights include its Blueberry Roselle and Steeped Black Lemon Peach Oolong teas; Macha and Hazelnut lattes; Maple Macchiato; flavoured Ice Capp; and more.
The Tim Hortons Timbit array will include Salted Egg Yolk as a flavour. Its lunchtime menu entails sandwich options like the Basil Chicken, Montreal Style Beef, and Coldwater Shrimp, served on ciabatta buns, alongside its Black Pepper Beef and Chicken Caesar Laffa wraps.
The business operates over 4,800 restaurants in Canada and across the globe to include such markets as the United States, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, the Philippines, and China. The chain will offer many classics at said venue, including its Double Double coffee.
Design-wise, the outlet captures the signature ambience of the brand, with tiles inspired by the image of maple leaves scattered about in autumn. Its interiors come in reds and plaids and other artful touches inspired by its national heritage like a hockey stick door handle.
“We are excited to expand our brand and a piece of Canada across the globe. China is an attractive market. We can’t wait for guests to try our classic favourites and new offerings crafted specifically for the Chinese market,” said Alex Macedo, President of Tim Hortons.
