The Starwood property underscores the brand’s strategy to meet the growing demand for experiential luxury travel in emerging markets.

Starwood will enter Armenia with the launch of The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan. Scheduled to open in summer 2017, the property underscores the brand’s strategy to meet the growing demand for experiential luxury travel in emerging markets worldwide.

The Starwood destination is to reside in one of the most prestigious addresses in said capital, close to the Republic Square. The Institute of Ancient Manuscripts known for its literary anthology, whimsical seven fountains, and History Museum and National Art Gallery will be just steps away.

Alongside 114 guestrooms, including 17 suites and a Presidential Suite, the getaway is to afford event and meeting spaces; a ballroom, business centre, and eight meeting rooms. Wellness covers an indoor pool, spa, and gym, while culinary offerings will entail a restaurant, cigar club and lobby bar.

“We are proud to partner with Tsupani CJSC and deliver on our promise of bringing a new level of luxury to the CIS. The hotel will offer guests unique access to authentic destination experiences,” said Michael Wale, President of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East.
