The Real Life Tested push promotes Dove’s 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner range engineered to deliver on a more resilient outcome.

Understanding that even modern man faces challenges with his hair, Dove Men+Care Hair has unveiled its Real Life Tested campaign to tackle the issue. The push aims to promote the brand’s 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner range engineered to deliver on a more resilient outcome.

The movement also entailed the release of a report dubbed the Dove Men+Care Hair Fall Study which surveyed hundreds of U.S. dermatologists specialised in male hair care, and found 92 percent to agree that physical stress on hair or environmental factors can contribute to hair fall in men.

The leading physical stressors cited as contributing to hair fall in men are aggressive grooming (75%), heat styling tools (66%), over-styling (60%), and pulling (57%), while the environmental factors cited by dermatologists included ultraviolet (UV) rays (49%) and chlorine (47%).

To educate men on the impact said stressors place on their hair, a video has been rolled out to showcase all of the stressors professional skateboarder and real dad, Andy Schrock, puts his hair through simply by juggling a busy schedule with being a caring dad.

“We believe the success of the brand is that we offer guys both outstanding quality products for all their hair types and a deep commitment to portraying modern men in realistic and relatable ways,” said Rob Candelino, VP of Marketing and General Manager of Hair Care at Unilever.
