Situated across the street from the Atlantic Ocean, The Gates Hotel South Beach – DoubleTree by Hilton offers an authentic resort setting.

DoubleTree by Hilton has opened The Gates Hotel South Beach, a newly reconstructed property under its brand. Co-owned by Rockpoint Group and managed by Highgate, the place adds 235 upscale rooms, a contemporary style, and upscale services to the landscape’s iconic waterfront.

Situated across the street from the Atlantic Ocean, the boutique lifestyle spot offers an authentic resort setting. Close to Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road and South Florida top hotspots, the destination is also a short walk to the food, nightlife, shopping, and entertainment district of South Beach.

Built on the foundation of the 1954 Ankara Motel, the refurbished holiday getaway maintains a historic and artistically-inspired architecture on the exterior. Key components have been retained and include the classic brick walls of the Historic Wing and refurbished Ankara Motel signage.

All accommodations are non-smoking and include plush beds which feature white duvets and crisp linens, a spacious work desk with an ergonomic desk chair as well as an in-room refrigerator, a laptop-size safe, and coffeemaker. Guests can enjoy the sunshine through over-sized windows.

Modern design takes centre stage as a translucent staircase welcomes guests into the thriving two-story atrium. Some guest rooms include balconies, while the hotel’s bathrooms boast granite countertops, extra storage space, walk-in showers, and backlit vanities.

Other highlights include free WiFi services, a 24-hour business and fitness centre, transportation to and from the beach, and guest bicycles. An onsite concierge desk is available at The Gates Hotel South Beach – DoubleTree by Hilton, as are three meeting rooms for small meetings and social gatherings.

“Travelers expect glamour and style when visiting South Beach, and The Gates Hotel South Beach delivers a sophisticated, yet relaxing, experience reflective of its colourful surroundings,” said Dianna Vaughan, Senior Vice President and Global Head at DoubleTree by Hilton.

Hilton was a winner at the 2014-2015 World Branding Awards under the Hotels (Global) category.
