The Ascend Hotel Collection has added to its global portfolio with the entry of Buffalo-based Curtiss Hotel into its stable of hotels and resorts.

The Ascend Hotel Collection has added Curtiss Hotel to its expanding global portfolio of independent hotels and resorts. Based in New York, the upscale boutique establishment is situated in downtown Buffalo and offers seven styles of rooms featuring premium Stearns & Foster beds and Italian percale linens.

Equipped with notable enhancements, standout amenities include Crestron touchscreen controllers that extend to the property’s in-room drapes and lighting. Meanwhile, spa-like bathrooms boast Beekman 1802 hand-crafted products. Sixteen steam shower rooms provide Bluetooth-enabled audio capabilities and other features.

Home to 68 guest accommodations with a spa available on site, the getaway also houses the locale’s first and only indoor and outdoor hot spring, which can host up to 26 people at a time. On the culinary front, the location operates a modern eatery that serves American and Italian cuisine called Chez Ami.

With a revolving bar to boot, the restaurant enables year-round patio seating, with Saturday and Sunday brunch offerings. The iconic VUE Rooftop Lounge delivers panoramic views of the city, Lake Erie, and Canadian shoreline. Seating up to 300 guests, the venue can be reserved for weddings and special events.

The design accents of Curtiss Hotel create an environment where travellers can take in the local history amidst contemporary luxuries and conveniences. Plush interiors and cosy Buffalo heritage aside, the property is one of the largest terra cotta structures in the area which helps add to the character of the place.
