The Teva x Cotopaxi collaboration is a celebration of a shared commitment to do better for people and the planet with the use of remnant and recycled materials

Teva, a division of Deckers Brands, is excited to announce an adventure-ready collaboration with fellow outdoor brand and benefit corporation, Cotopaxi. The Teva x Cotopaxi collection is a celebration of a shared commitment to do better for people and the planet with the use of remnant and recycled materials.

In addition, Teva and Cotopaxi will donate US$40k/£30.8k to the Cotopaxi Foundation to support a grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood to increase youth leadership education and access in the outdoors.

The Teva x Cotopaxi limited-edition collaboration features Teva’s classic sandal, the Original Universal, and Cotopaxi’s signature Teca windbreaker in playful prints and bright neon colours. Two iconic styles that complement each other in style and purpose, the duo feature remnant and recycled materials brought to life in a fresh, sustainable collection.

“We’re thrilled to work with Cotopaxi, a like-minded adventure brand with a shared desire to inspire people to do good,” said Anders Bergstrom, General Manager at Teva. “We are both passionate when it comes to reducing our impact on the planet so future generations are free to explore, and this collection is the perfect expression of that shared belief.”

The utilitarian and water-ready Teva x Cotopaxi Original Universal sandal is designed with a combination of REPREVE recycled polyester webbing coupled with colourful straps featuring upcycled Cotopaxi Del Dia ripstop fabrics, making the sandal not only durable and quick-drying, but environmentally friendly.

The sandal also features an EVA foam midsole, and easy hook-and-loop closure, and a rubber outsole for all-day comfort and support. The Teva x Cotopaxi Teca Half-Zip Windbreaker is adventure-ready with its packable, water-resistant, and lightweight shell that is constructed from DWR-treated repurposed polyester taffeta.

The jacket features an outdoor-inspired topo-map pattern, large front kangaroo pocket, front flat pocket, and an internal phone pocket to make travel easy and convenient.

“Collaborating with Teva presented an ideal opportunity to work alongside a fellow outdoor brand to advance sustainability and social responsibility whilst adding to our product offering,” said Davis Smith, CEO and co-founder of Cotopaxi. “Having an impact goes hand-in-hand with collective action, and we’re honoured to partner with Teva to help address poverty and climate change.”
