LoveRaw secures a deal with Asda! Their much loved plant-based ‘Nutty Choc Balls’ will be stocked at 70 Asda stores across the UK, alongside 500 Holland & Barrett shops, selected SPAR retailers and more than 100 WHSmith travel stores.

The product comprises whole hazelnuts dipped in a vegan hazelnut spread, coated in plant-based chocolate then rolled in hazelnut pieces.

Founded by Rimi Thapar with a budget of £600 in 2013, the company now employs 22 people, with products stocked in retailers such as Waitrose and Co-Op.

Following the Asda deal, LoveRaw  is now on track to achieve sales on £4.5m this year and has the support of Juliet Barratt, founder of the Grenade protein brand that sold to Mondelez for £200m in 2021.

Manav Thapar, co-founder at LoveRaw, said: “Our mission is to create the best-tasting and innovative plant-based chocolate products and our new Nutty Choc Balls are unlike anything else on the market.

“People leading a vegan or plant-based diet have typically been underserved by confectionary brands, so LoveRaw is leading the charge to bring innovation, choice and quality to the category with plant-based chocolate products that taste as good, or better than, conventional chocolate.”
