MCM, the esteemed German luxury fashion brand, has introduced its debut of the Ramadan capsule collection through a creative partnership with Hanan Houachmi, a prominent “tastemaker” and creative consultant based in Dubai.

Furthermore, the capsule collection endavours to provide a modern interpretation of modest attire suitable for Ramadan, the sacred month in the Muslim calendar. It achieves this by blending the brand’s distinctive identity with garments such as a shirt dress, hooded kaftan dress, and wide-leg trousers. These pieces are meticulously crafted from a lightweight fabric adorned with MCM’s signature Lauretos monogram print throughout.

In addition, the collection has been curated to complement the brand’s iconic diamond buckle belt alongside a Lauretos silk scarf featuring dual-sided Chambray blueprints. Additionally, it pairs seamlessly with the Himmel shoulder bag crafted from Italian satin and natural Nappa leather, embellished with exquisite Swarovski crystals.

Apart from that, the Ramadan collection emerged from a collaboration between Houachmi, the creative director Katie Chung, and Sabine Brunner, who serves as the Global Commercial and Brand Officer and President of MCM Global AG. Their collective vision aimed to honour the traditions associated with the Muslim holiday while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of creativity and design innovation.

Reflecting on the collection, Houachmi expressed her gratitude in a statement, acknowledging the trust and confidence the entire team had for her. She particularly emphasised her appreciation as a modest Arab woman contributing to the discourse surrounding the development of the Ramadan Collection.

In celebration of the collection, MCM enlisted influencer Leena Al Ghouti to take centre stage in the campaign, captured through the lens of photographer Francesco Scotti.

The collection is now accessible through MCM’s official website and is also offered in selected stores, including the flagship location on Conduit Street in London and outlets in Dubai, Kuwait, Germany, Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore.
