Oban Single Malt Scotch Whisky has rolled out a new push tackling the brand’s frequently mispronounced named and that stars Jack Falahee.

Oban Single Malt Scotch Whisky has launched a new campaign. Titled It’s Pronounced Oh-Bin, the series stars actor, Jack Falahee. Inspired by the common mispronunciation of the brand’s name, the push aims to bring its legacy back to what matters most—incredibly good craft Scotch Whisky.

Featuring two 30-second spots and created by Mob Scene, the effort sees Falahee, as spokesperson, offer an education on the history of scotch and share some of the unique traits which differentiate the offering from the other single malt whiskies on the market. The videos are available for viewing on Facebook.

Comprised of two tiny stills and operated by no more than seven employees, Oban is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. Built on simplicity, it prides itself on its own attention to quality and detail. A key objective of the campaign is to capture said positioning and credo and further its affinity amongst fans.

“As the scotch category continues to grow, we want people to find our refreshing sense of familiarity and simplicity. We are very excited to have Jack Falahee help tell the story behind Oban and bring to life the easy-going spirit of one of Scotland’s smallest but iconic distilleries,” said Jamie Young, Senior Brand Manager, Diageo Single Malts.

Founded in 1794, the distillery is known for its core expressions: 14 Year Old, 18 Year Old, and Oban Little Bay.
