“Lingerie, Mon Amour!” Fashion Show Highlights National Brands and Presents Five New Trending Designers

For the first time ever, 14 French lingerie brands have come together to present their collections at a fashion show called “Lingerie, Mon Amour!” at the beginning of Paris haute couture week.

Organised by Lingerie Française (the Association for the Promotion of Corsetry Industries) and supported by DEFI – La Mode de France, the Committee for the Development and Promotion of Clothing, the show gained participations from notable brands including Aubade, Chantelle Paris, Implicite, Lou, and the institutional brand Simone Perele.

Five emerging French Lingerie designers also presented their creations; Elise Anderegg, Madame Aime, Maud & Majorie, Paloma Casile and Yse.

At the show, Lingerie Française showcased modernised presentations of Marie Antoinette, the iconic last Queen of France and also one of the most influential women of Paris. The fashion show featured her as a mysterious ballerina and dandy girl in a black jacket, among others to revive the once sweetheart of many French men in 2017 settings.

With the aim to refine and highlight the beauty of women all over the world, the show deliberately went for older, unknown models to prove that glamour is “within every woman’s reach”.

The show attracted buyers and influencers from all around the world. Notable appearances include French actresses Emilie Duquenne, Deborah François, and Marilou Berry, and Olympic Champions Camille Lacourt and Elodie Clouvel.

This show will further increase French exports of lingerie and nightwear for women, the flagship product of France, which represents £442 million from January to October last year, an increase of +3.5% compared to the same period in 2015.
