The Sprite roll-out features a marketing campaign which includes radio, out-of-home, and digital content across the brand’s social channels.

Coca-Cola’s Sprite has moved to reinstate an old classic from a decade ago. Accompanying said re-emergence is a refreshed image and new name. The comeback concoction, Tropical Mix, combines the flavours of lemon and lime with strawberry and pineapple hints.

Sporting a retro look with an orange-on-white package design, the drink will remain on the market across a limited period which has just now begun. Sprite Tropical Mix joins additional entrants the beverage giant has introduced in recent years to match eclectic palates.

Other popular offerings include the Cranberry alternative, which was first introduced in 2013, and LeBron’s Mix, which was available in 2014 and 2015. Sold in 20-ounce bottles at retail outlets and convenience stores, the new release will feature nationwide through August 2016, or while stocks last.

The roll-out is being supported via an integrated marketing campaign which entails radio and out-of-home advertising as well as digital content on the beverage-maker’s social media channels. To check local product availability, consumers are welcome to visit the ‘Ask Coca-Cola’ virtual agent.

“Fans have thirsted for the return of this popular Sprite tropical flavour for years, and it’s great to finally bring it back to reward their enthusiasm. I can’t think of a better way to let them know that we’re listening,” said Kimberly Paige, Vice President, Sparkling Brands, Sprite and Flavors at Coca-Cola North America.
