Global Leader in Digital Retail Media Announces New Chief Executive Officer

Triad Retail Media has named Sherry Smith as its new Chief Executive Officer. She succeeds Roger Berdusco, who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities following a successful 11-year tenure with Triad that culminated in his role as CEO and the company’s acquisition by WPP in 2016.

With more than two decades of traditional and digital advertising industry experience, Smith most recently served as Triad’s Global Chief Customer Officer, overseeing all core aspects of Triad’s client services that deliver revenue-driven solutions for brands and retailers, including sales, creative, content, operations and analytics. She has delivered expertise to and built global client partnerships with some of the world’s largest retailers including Walmart.com, Sam’s Club, CVS, Dollar General, Kohl’s and more.

“Sherry is the perfect person to take on the role of CEO for Triad Retail Media in its next chapter as part of WPP, the world’s largest communications group. A driven and accountable leader on the executive team, she holds the admiration of her colleagues and the respect of Triad’s retail partners and brand clients. She is a solutions-focused and creative thinker, helping brands and retailers succeed in the face of rapidly evolving consumer behaviors and e-commerce trends,” said Brian Gleason, CEO of GroupM’s [m]PLATFORM, on Smith’s appointment.

“We thank Roger for his enormous contributions to Triad, which led us to acquire this innovative company, and we wish him the best in his next chapter,” Gleason added.

In Smith’s new role, she will be responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for Triad’s continued growth and all aspects of operations and financial performance, as executed by a team of more than 500 employees worldwide.

“Triad is a retail media pioneer, a position that gives us the opportunity to help the world’s largest retailers navigate a shifting industry. Our innovative capabilities put retail on the map for brands, which we believe is the missing piece of the puzzle,” Smith said. “I’m thrilled to be leading an extremely motivated and passionate team who are committed to our clients and their success. This next chapter will be full of opportunity, and it will be exciting to see what we accomplish.”
