For its new NFL-themed campaign, Papa John’s has partnered with NFL greats, Peyton Manning and J.J. Watt, to roll out Cupcakes spot.
Papa John’s has rolled out an advertising campaign starring NFL quarterback, Peyton Manning, in time for the new football season. The partnership places the athlete in the role as a first-time spectator and will see him host his own game-day party as part of the creative concept.
The 30-second television spot titled Cupcakes also features the Houston Texans’ All-Pro reigning Defensive Player of the Year, J.J. Watt, who kicks off the season with a sweet offer. Said commercial debuts on 22 August and runs on ESPN, NFL Network, Spike, FX, and Comedy Central.
Fans will see Peyton wearing a different type of uniform—one more adept for baking rather than throwing footballs. In addition to his cameo in the aforementioned creative, Watt, who joined the Papa John’s team last year, will appear on his first national NFL-themed pizza box.
“We’re excited to celebrate the start of football season alongside Peyton as he experiences the game as a fan for the first time. Our new line-up continues to make for a better team as they both share our passion to deliver quality experiences to fans,” said John Schnatter, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Papa John’s.
