Leo Burnett Chicago hires Kaylin Goldstein as Executive Vice President and Mike Davidson as Head of Production

Leo Burnett Chicago, an advertising agency, has recently announced the addition of Kaylin Goldstein to the agency’s strategy team. Goldstein will serve as an Executive Vice President, Strategy Director for Coors Light.

Goldstein brings a combined PhD in Anthropology and extensive agency experience to her new role. Over 12 years at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, she helped create some of the most talked-about campaigns of the past decade—including American Express’ “Small Business Saturday” and Kraft Mac & Cheese’s “World’s Largest Blind Taste Test”—as well as brand work for Volkswagen, Hershey’s, Charles Schwabb, American Heart Association and American Airlines.

“With a wealth of experience, mentorship and planner craft and big-impact initiatives to her name, Kaylin is a true force for our strategic bench,” said Aki Spicer, Leo Burnett Chicago Chief Strategy Officer. “Her understanding of human behaviour and ability to tap into the cultural pulse makes her an incredible and energetic addition to our agency.”

Goldstein’s work has been recognised with Cannes Lion, Effies, Clios and Jay Chiat Planning Awards. Her expertise has earned her seats on the juries of the Effie Awards, Ad Age/Creativity Awards and Jay Chiat Awards, and in 2017, AdAge named her Strategic Planner of the Year.

“I have had the good fortune to work on some iconic brands in my career, and I am excited to join an agency that’s a global icon in its own right with a roster of big, powerful brands,” said Goldstein. “At the core, Leo Burnett is all about connecting on a real, human level and using everything they have got — smarts, ingenuity, data, empathy, curiosity, creativity, technology — to break through and engage people in a meaningful way.”

Additionally, beginning February 10, Mike Davidson has joined Leo Burnett Chicago as Executive Vice President, Head of Integrated Production.

Mike Davidson has joined Leo Burnett Chicago as Executive Vice President, Head of Integrated Production. He joins the agency from Wieden+Kennedy Portland where he served as Head of Integrated Production, revamping the agency’s production offering to drive integration and a discipline-agnostic approach. Brand work included Old Spice, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Nike, as well as music videos for rock bands Real Estate and Portugal. The Man.

“Mike’s body of work speaks for itself,” said Leo Burnett Worldwide Chief Creative Officer Liz Taylor. “The breadth of his portfolio is already second-to-none, but the impeccable and consistent quality of product is even more impressive.”

Davidson brings more than 15 years of experience building brands at the forefront of digital communications. His storytelling craft spans film, digital development, gaming, live-streaming, experiential, AR/VR content and much more.

“It is an honour to be joining an agency with such a rich history and incredible creative standard that also happens to be in the best city in the country,” Davidson said. “I am beyond excited to partner with the outstanding creative and production talent to push boundaries and bring amazing ideas to life.”

Davidson’s work has been honoured with an array of industry accolades that include Cannes Lions, D&AD Awards, One Show Awards and many others. Prior to Wieden, Davidson served as an interactive producer at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, and has worked at agencies including Energy BBDO and JWT.
