The latest from its ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here’ push, Postcard celebrates adult freedom and Las Vegas as an inclusive destination.

Returning to its creative storytelling roots, The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has rolled out the latest commercial in conjunction with its What Happens Here, Stays Here advertising campaign. Titled Postcard, the 30-second spot was released on 29 August 2016.

The second in a series of three new broadcast and digital spots, the shorts tells the story of a woman who receives a handwritten note from her husband about a previously undisclosed trip from two weeks prior. The memo is met with a less than enthusiastic response from his wary wife.

However, the husband stays true to the ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here’ trademark by not revealing the details of his getaway. Directed by Frank Todaro, the shorts were filmed in Las Vegas. The series also includes Sketchpad as well as another spot which will be introduced in the fall.

Currently in its fourteenth year, the marketing push continues to appeal to consumers by providing simple, authentic, and relatable storytelling. The iconic campaign embraces the brand’s ideals of adult freedom and shows how said city is an inclusive and welcoming destination.

“Our goal is to encourage travel and remind potential visitors of the only-in-Vegas experiences awaiting them at the destination through humorous and relatable stories,” said Cathy Tull, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
