IKEA have created their own ‘comfy’ font, Soffa Sans. The font was released in response to IKEA customers getting creative with the Swedish brand’s couch building tool Vallentuna. Customers have been recreating iconic games scenes and building their dream living room set ups and then sharing their ideas on social media.

The font, which is available for anyone to use, is made up of pieces of sofa and includes the Vallentuna Hillared dark grey cushion. If made in real life, it would cost £106,320.

Marcos Tejedor, living rooms sales leader for Ikea UK & Ireland, has commented, “We’ve been really enjoying seeing the fun that people are having with our sofas, and the innovative solutions they are creating. Inspired by their creativity, we’ve launched Soffa Sans: the world’s comfiest font. Its modular form and relaxed letter-spacing makes it one of the most versatile fonts out there and we’re looking forward to seeing where it’s used.”
