Newly hired by Corra, Alex Shepherd brings to the role over 15 years of experience, having worked in several key facets of the retail business.

Digital commerce agency, Corra, has added to its UK team by appointing Alex Shepherd to the position of EMEA Commercial Director, a post he assumes at the group’s London office. He brings to the role more than 15 years of experience, having worked in several key facets of the retail business.

With a background in delivering advertising campaigns to drive bricks and mortar sales as well as new ecommerce business, the new lead is poised to drive growth across the London operation. Shepherd launched his career at Carat, where he spent over 12 years servicing various bluechip brands.

Among the top client accounts led during the aforementioned stint are Virgin Money, Holland and Barratt, Brother UK, and Talk Talk Business. Shepherd started out as a TV buyer before progressing to client services to curate strategy, and was subsequently promoted to Associate Director.

With experience in print, direct mail, and more, he focused on deploying client’s media budgets, and was able to hone his expertise in the areas of PPC, search engine optimisation, and display advertising. In 2014, he was named Commercial Director at Space 48, an ecommerce agency and Magento Gold partner.

There, Shepherd headed new business efforts and played a major role in driving significant growth for company. He was successful in generating new clients such as Gro, Silentnight, Cox & Cox, and Glamorous. At Corra, he aims to highlight the brand’s key differentiators compared with other UK agencies.
