Beats by Dre, the Apple-owned audio brand have selected Chris Thorne as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
The appointment comes after a five month search and will see the former Chief Growth Officer for healthcare start up Forward, look after global marketing for the brand, with a view to grow sales and customer loyalty.
Thorne will report to Luke Wood, president of Beats by Dre. Wood says: “In his career, Chris has shouldered an extensive roster of brands that amplify his invaluable experience in marketing, business management, brand growth and creative development.
“I’m thrilled we have found a marketing leader who will continue to drive Beats as an industry changemaker and look forward to working closely with him.”
Thorne added: “I admire everything that Beats has accomplished over the past 11 years. The brand continues to dominate cultural conversation, and I’m excited to join the team and contribute to its successes.”
His previous roles in marketing over the last 15 years have included positions at Executive Arts (EA) and Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company as Head of Marketing.
