FleishmanHillard has named agency veteran, Kristy Wilson, the new GM for Chicago, who enters the market from the group’s Austin office.
FleishmanHillard has named Kristy Wilson its General Manager for Chicago. She most recently served in a similar capacity at the Austin office, which will now begin reporting to Lauren Walters, who takes over to head up a combined Texas offering that includes the communications group’s operations in Dallas.
Wilson joined the firm over twenty years ago in 1998, beginning in Dallas, where the now agency veteran held various leadership and account management roles. During said stint, she led work on major remits. Her expertise spans areas such as telecommunications, financial services, energy, travel, and healthcare.
Prior to FleishmanHillard, she was a member of the Sprint public affairs team in Florida. She began her career at Kidd & Driscoll, the full-service advertising and public relations outfit which is now Kidd Group. Meanwhile, Walters, her current successor, has led the Dallas business with distinction since 2012.
“Kristy is an experienced leader known for building relationships and energising teams. She is a natural innovator—always experimenting with fresh strategies to solve client problems. We are excited to have her share her talents in a new market,” said JJ Carter, COO and President, Americas, FleishmanHillard.
