Etihad Airways, official airline of the NYFW, is partnering with Jimmy Choo to celebrate the luxury brand’s twentieth anniversary with events taking place at the John F. Kennedy International Airport and in New York City featuring international models and a Mary J. Blige performance.

The models include Amber Valletta (pictured), Milla Jovovich, Sasha Pivovarova, Lexi Boling, Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes, and Xiao Wen Ju. The campaign also entails a video starring said cast and the aforementioned artiste. The push continues with during the London Fashion Week and in Abu Dhabi.

The airline is hosting a VIP lounge with WME | IMG and Jimmy Choo until 15 September, featuring a retrospective of the most iconic shoes from the brand from the past 20 years. Curated by its Creative Director, Sandra Choi, the campaign’s imagery was shot by Craig McDean.

The platform will act as a hub for the carrier’s signature hospitality and promises imagery from its uniform campaign shot by Norman Jean Roy. Poltrona Frau, the airline’s exclusive partner for luxury leather upholstery in The Residence, First and Business classes, are featured within the space.

The display includes armchairs by Peter Marino, for which the Italian furniture maker is widely known. The tie-up follows a global agreement struck in April 2016, with New York being the latest stop in the sponsorship deal which supports 17 annual fashion week events worldwide.

The above follows the brand’s recent participation at the Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai, while shows in London and Milan are slated to commence next month. The New York Fashion Week is its second major NY-based partnership following the New York City Football Club tie-up.

“Jimmy Choo has been revered by the global jetset for two decades, so it is fitting that we partner with the iconic brand which shares similar ambitions—to provide the ultimate in elegance, sophistication and comfort,” said Patrick Pierce, Vice President of Sponsorships at Etihad Airways.
