Volkswagen has expanded its Hankook alliance. The brand will provide original fitment tyres for the carmaker’s sport-look 2018 Tiguan R-Line.
Volkswagen is once more collaborating with Hankook. The deal will see the tyre-maker supply original fitment tyres for the automotive company’s 2018 Tiguan R-Line. Said model will be equipped with the latter’s premium Ventus S1 noble 2 offering in two different sizes.
A high-performance product touted for its handling and low-rolling resistance, the all-season accessory also provides increased fuel efficiency and reduced road noise. The preferred choice of Volkswagen, Hankook is highly popular among sportscar enthusiasts.
While a global favourite among brand loyalists, the new Tiguan R-Line release is the sport-look version of this second-generation medium-sized SUV. Powered by a turbocharged engine, it has received cosmetic changes to the front. Hankook adds comfort and durability.
The tie-up with Volkswagen as an OE supplier of the Tiguan R-Line demonstrates Hankook’s expanding recognition. The relationship dates back to 2001 when it began making tyres for the Jetta, and in 2003, for the Polo. Hankook has also fitted Beetle, Passat, and Golf vehicles.
