Seeing release in June, the stores tied in with the Sony Xperia debut include Bell, Rogers, Virgin Mobile, Wind Mobile, and Videotron.

Sony Mobile has launched the Xperia X series into Canada, with four models from the new collection scheduled to see official release at multiple carriers from 23 June 2016. The stores tied in with the debut include Bell, Rogers, Virgin Mobile, Wind Mobile, and Videotron.

A testament of the brand’s vision to lead with technology, particularly for its camera and battery, the premiere across said North American market will encompass the X, X Performance, XA, and XA Ultra variants—each of which was uniquely designed to meet specific needs.

Marrying smart design, performance, and user experience, the brand’s Predictive Hybrid Autofocus function was developed in collaboration with the company’s Alpha camera engineers. The feature allows one to choose a subject and expertly anticipates motion to ensure a pristine shot.

The range water resistance ability was shaped to withstand accidental splashes, sudden spills, and unexpected showers. With the line in place, Sony reveals the smartphone habits of Canadians, for whom camera, battery life, and speed are key when selecting a  device.

“Xperia X series is designed to let you interact with the world around you in exciting ways, making lives more enjoyable and delivering new intelligence that sets it apart,” said Kunihiko Shiomi, President of Sony Mobile Communications, North America.

On an equally impressive note, Sony PlayStation was a winner at the 2015-2016 World Branding Awards under the Gaming Console (Global) category.
