Boosted through paid amplification, American Express Canada is targeting frequent travellers and driving them to the brand’s website.

American Express Canada has launched a three-video series featuring travel tips from major influencers including baseball star, Kevin Pillar. Two other equally prominent jet-setters have signed on, namely Cabbie Richards from TSN and lifestyle guru, Monika Hibbs.

Tying Canadians to the brand, the push drives an association between the marque and travel. In each spot, the influencers share personal hacks that simplify travel such as tips on how to make a hotel feel like home, rolling neckties to reduce wrinkles, and haircut hotspots.

The shorts starring Pillar and Richards kick off the campaign by highlighting useful pointers for frequent explorers. Meanwhile, the Hibbs commercial delivers the recommendations of a seasoned mother who travels with her family. The videos have gone live via Facebook and Twitter, with the invitation to explore American Express Canada online.

“Through ongoing development of captivating social media content like the travel hack series, we’re showing new and existing card members that Amex is a trusted travel partner,” said Lauren Dineen-Duarte, ‎Director Public Affairs & Communications of American Express Canada.
