The Skechers app allows consumers in the United States to purchase their favourite styles anywhere they feel the need to shop for footwear.

Skechers has launched a mobile app for the brand targeting Apple and Android mobile devices to elevate the purchase experience across e-commerce and within its stores. The app allows American consumers to purchase their favourite styles anywhere they feel the need to shop for footwear.

Shoppers can also use the service to discover products by viewing the latest commercials, while a native one-touch checkout with Apple Pay and Android Pay renders makes fast and easy. It also offers users access to their Elite user account to track points and redeem rewards on all purchases.

Other features include a store locator, barcode search to identify and order additional sizes or colours unavailable in the store as well as proximity notifications on promotions and events at nearby outlets. It is downloadable to mobile devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play respectively.

The app has a shopping enabled social media component to drive discovery and encourage fans to share images of their best Skechers looks. Instagram images with #SKECHERS will appear in a devoted ShopIG section, allowing consumers to purchase the shoes seen in their favourite images.

“The new app allows us to better connect with the younger demographic of our fan base both on-the-go and through stronger interactive elements in our brick and mortar retail stores. By encouraging engagement, we hope to drive excitement for the brand,” said Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers.
