The Samsung Galaxy Note7 is designed to strike a balance between work and play, so it exceeds a user’s expectations of a smartphone.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note7, a premium offering matching its large-screen signature for smart devices while equipped with a water-resistant body, an S Pen, iris-scanning security feature, and immersive entertainment powered by HDR video streaming capabilities.

Anything but basic, the new release is designed to strike a balance between work and play, so it exceeds a user’s expectations of a smartphone. The Note7’s writing tool lets one create and share GIF animations with Smart Select, and Air Command functions, including Magnify and Translate.

A new unified app allows one to jot down handwritten notes, draw, or edit memos from one location. Coupled with Samsung Knox, the device provides heightened security and privacy, with advanced biometric authentication, including fingerprint scanner and iris scanning technology.

A vast library of apps, photos, games, and other highlight puts users in the centre of the action as well as takes gaming further. The product can be used with the high-resolution Gear 360 camera to capture, edit, and share 360-degree images and videos on the go, making it more interactive.

A updated line of accessories will be available to complement the Galaxy Note7, including the new S View Standing Cover, which can be used to prop the device at a 60-degree angle for easy viewing of content as well as an IP68 water resistant backpack for on-the-go charging.

Adopters will be able to use up to 15GB of free space to store and restore information on Samsung Cloud. The device is scheduled to become available for purchase from 19 August 2016, and is being offered in four colours: Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium, and Black Onyx.

“The Galaxy Note7 combines productivity, entertainment, and strong security features. Powering a robust ecosystem, it is the ideal device for those who want to achieve more in life,” said DJ Koh, President of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.

Samsung is a winner at the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 World Branding Awards.
