The brand has unveiled its brand new My Citizen application, which is designed to simplify the registration of timepieces for consumers.

Watch brand, Citizen, has unveiled a new app called My Citizen. Available to iOS and Android users, its main purpose is to enhance the overall ownership experience and help streamline the registration process of timepieces. The group enlisted technology company, Endava, for design and development.

Changing the way consumers access setting instructions and register for warranty, the application digitally recognises the face and case back of any one of the brand’s watches. The platform allows the smartphone to identify and transmit model, serial, and calibre information to an online watch registration form.

The process simplifies registration so accessing user manuals and contacting customer care becomes seamless. Said offering houses information in one location to include date and proof of purchase, warranty registration confirmation, and beyond. Also, it affords notifications for new product releases.

The first timepiece related programme built by Endava, Citizen holds category exclusivity. The app is now available for download via the Apple Store and Google Play. A key benefit is quick tap access that enables one to set instructions especially when daylight savings or time zone changes are detected.

“It is important for our brand to continue to seek innovation and digital leadership within the watch category. By developing this application, we create value and convenience for our consumers through cutting edge technology,” said Barbara Garces, Chief Digital Officer of Citizen Watch America.
