The Apple releases boast enhanced camera systems, stereo speakers, power, and battery performance, among other key features.

Apple has unveiled both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, with said variants expected to roll out in more than 25 countries from 16 September. Steeped in innovation, the new releases include advanced camera systems, immersive stereo speakers as well as increased power and battery performance.

Sporting sleek finishes, the devices are both water and dust resistant. The range also boasts a 12-megapixel camera for optical image stabilisation, alongside a larger aperture and six-element lens for brighter, more detailed photos and videos. A wide colour capture allows for added vibrancy.

With a telephoto camera, the capabilities of the iPhone 7 Plus are two and 10 times that of the iPhone 7 in terms of optical and digital zoom. However, both cameras enable an elevated depth-of-field, courtesy of Machine Learning technology which separates the background from the foreground.

Also, the custom-designed Apple A10 Fusion chip features architecture which allows more time between charges due to extended battery life. The chip comes with four cores and high-speed graphics performance to improve the gaming experience and performance of professional apps.

Meanwhile, the AirPods wireless headphones provide enhanced wireless communication for a better connection, improved sound, and industry-leading battery life. Additionally, the feature harnesses the power of Siri, allowing access to the virtual personal assistant with just a double tap.

Both devices come in silver, gold, and rose gold finishes, and entail two fresh black finishes—one with an anodized matte appearance and the other with a high-gloss look. Designed to be durable and responsive, the phone’s Home button offers more precise and customisable tactile feedback.

The iPhone 7 range is also equipped with the iOS 10. The advanced mobile operating system creates opportunities for developers with Siri, Maps, Phone, and Messages APIs, allowing users to do more with their apps through the delivery of more animated ways to message friends and family.

“The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus dramatically improve every aspect of the iPhone experience, reaching a new level of innovation and precision to make this the best iPhone we have ever made,” said Philip Schiller, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple.
