Porter Novelli has amped up its North American leadership with the appointments of Tara Greco and Eric Villines in DC and Seattle.

Porter Novelli has added two senior vice presidents in key roles. Tara Greco (pictured right) has been appointed to head public affairs and corporate communications in Washington, D.C. while Eric Villines (pictured left) has joined the network to lead the agency’s work on T-Mobile out of Seattle.

Greco will provide strategic counsel and expertise across the firm’s portfolio of assignments in said areas. Formerly the Director of Communications for the National Basketball Players Association, she managed its communications strategy to amplify its position and mission.

She was once Director of Sustainability Communications at Walmart, where she drove its sustainability narrative and reputation. She has also held senior communications positions at Deloitte and APCO Worldwide, supporting brands such as Target, Capital One, and UPS.

Meanwhile, Villines will offer senior counsel and expertise to the firm’s regional technology practice. Prior to joining Porter Novelli, he spearheaded global communications for Meitu, and before that, served as an SVP and deputy consumer technology practice lead at MWWPR.

At the agency, he oversaw the Samsung Mobile relationship. During an even earlier stint, he spent five years at Burson-Marsteller as the brand marketing lead for the Southwest United States, providing counsel to clients including Miller Brewing and Merrill Lynch.
