Global public relations firm, Finn Partners, has welcomed on board renowned journalist and communications professional, John Seigenthaler (pictured), as the agency’s Senior Counsel to advise clients across its network of offices on crisis communications and reputation management.

In said commission while based out of the group’s New York, the former NBC News anchor will lend emphasis to message development, media direction and training as well as social media strategy. The appointment was made official by Senior Managing Partner, Richard Funess.

He was also NBC Nightly News Weekend Edition anchor and Special Correspondent for over a decade. He has covered a wide range of stories including U.S. presidential campaigns, terror attacks in the Middle East, London, Paris, and New York, and natural disasters worldwide.

He joined Seigenthaler Public Relations in 2007, a Nashville-based agency founded by his uncle, Tom Seigenthaler, which was acquired by Finn Partners in 2015. He led the brand’s NYC office until 2013, focusing on healthcare, financial services, environment, technology, academics, and public policy.

“We’re excited to bring John’s extraordinary talents to Finn Partners. He is recognised as one of the most skilled storytellers in the broadcast industry.  His experience in global media, message development, and strategic public relations will be a tremendous asset to our clients,” said Funess.
