Airline group, Air France-KLM, has awarded its Mexico public relations and communications account to global specialist PR network, LINKS.

Air France – KLM has appointed global communications firm, LINKS, as agency of record. Specialised in tourism and travel, the marketing and public relations outfit has been tasked with driving the airline’s communications plan specifically for Mexico from January onwards.

Headquartered in Miami while operational in other American cities like Los Angeles and New York, LINKS maintains additional offices in Latin America and the Caribbean to include such markets as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.

The group’s clients include the Ministry of Tourism of Israel; Tourism Office of New Zealand; Department of Tourism of the Cayman Islands; as well as a mix of luxury hotels and resorts within the Highgate portfolio, among others. Air France – KLM is the latest to join its lineup.

Having established a sturdy presence particularly in the above regions, the network affords competitive solutions to brands seeking global strategies. LINKS will lend its deep expertise to cultivating campaigns and consumer engagement strategies for Air France – KLM.

“As we continue to drive aviation, we want travellers to know the benefits of flying with us. As part of our commitment to Mexico, we are now elevating our communications and public relations strategy,” said Helvia González, Mexico Communications Head, Air France – KLM.

In May 2004, Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines became the largest European group in aviation. Comprised of two airlines, its three core businesses are Passenger, Cargo, and Engineering & Maintenance. Each has retained its unique identity, trade name, and brand.
