WHP Global, a leading brand management firm based in New York, has announced the successful acquisition of the intellectual property (IP) of the iconic VERA WANG fashion brand. This milestone follows the company’s announcement last December regarding its agreement to acquire the brand’s IP.

As part of the transaction, Vera Wang will continue in her role as Founder & Chief Creative Officer, ensuring her creative vision remains central to the brand’s future. Additionally, Wang will maintain her position as a shareholder in WHP Global, highlighting her ongoing commitment to the brand’s growth and evolution.

WHP Global’s portfolio features more than 14 prominent consumer brands, collectively driving over $7 billion in annual global retail sales. Spanning a wide range of sectors—including fashion, sports, and hard goods—this diverse portfolio solidifies WHP Global’s position as a leader in the brand management industry.

The acquisition marks a transformative moment for WHP Global, establishing a new premium fashion vertical alongside other renowned names such as rag & bone, Joe’s Jeans, and G-STAR.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in January 2025. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Solomon Partners, L.P. acted as financial advisor to Vera Wang.
