The first store is located in Sofia’s Slaveikov Square while the second has opened its doors in the neighbourhood of Druzhba, with a third on the way

Penetrating an entirely new market, American fast food chain, Texas Chicken, has launched two new restaurants in Bulgaria. The first is located in one of Sofia’s most popular spots namely Slaveikov Square, while the second is now positioned within the locality of Druzhba.

“With the combination of our quality fried chicken, freshly prepared home-style products, and innovative star image design, we are certain that guests in Sofia and throughout Bulgaria will fall in love with our brand,” said Bill Schreiber, Vice President of Global Business Development of Texas Chicken (Church’s Chicken).

The said twin branches are part of a larger development deal with franchisee, Cinema Entertainment EOOD, which projects the opening of more Texas Chicken restaurants within the next few years. In addition to the two new locations, a third restaurant is set to roll out in Arena Cinema West during November 2015.

The marque is known for its hand-battered chicken prepared in small batches from scratch throughout the day. Signature products include honey-butter biscuits, the Mexicana Sandwich, Mexicana Wrap, and its shortcake line featuring a honey-butter biscuit topped with ice cream and drizzled with caramel, strawberry or chocolate.

“The brand has a long history of serving great-tasting, high quality fried chicken. We truly believe that Texas Chicken is a great addition to our portfolio and will become the brand of choice for Bulgarian guests who crave delicious fried chicken,” said Ivo Milikin, General Manager of Cinema Entertainment EOOD.
