The property will feature as a 52-storey hotel offering 289 rooms and suites spanning the first 18 floors and 504 luxury apartments

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has secured a partnership with Dubai developer, Nakheel, for The St. Regis Dubai slated for launch in 2018. Part of The Palm Tower, the establishment will feature as a 52-storey landmark hotel positioned as the centrepiece of the Palm Jumeirah.

The signing marks the fifth St. Regis branded property to open in the United Arab Emirates. The location will boast 289 guest rooms and suites spanning the first 18 floors of the plaza. Meanwhile, the upper floors will comprise 504 luxury guest apartments.

“We look forward to building a long-term relationship with Nakheel as we introduce the St. Regis brand and its bespoke hospitality experience to this landmark destination in Dubai,” said Michael Wale, President of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa, and Middle East.

The state-of-the-art destination will feature two swimming pools, one of which will an infinity pool set on the fiftieth floor, at 210 metres above ground. It is set to border all four sides of the building for a 360-degree view of the said island, Arabian Gulf as well as Dubai skyline.

Designed to serve as one of the most desirable vacation spots on The Palm, the spot is poised to offer distinct dining experiences. The proposition includes a signature on-site diner with sweeping city views on the 51st floor and an all-day restaurant.

Additionally, The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm offers easy access to Al Ittihad Park, a 1.1 million square feet green oasis featuring more than 60 plant varieties indigenous to the region and a 3.2-kilometre looped running track. Essentially, The Palm Monorail connected to the Dubai Tram and metro, is within close proximity.

“Palm Jumeirah is a global destination offering the ultimate in luxury living and leisure. Working with Starwood to open a St. Regis on The Palm reinforces what the island is all about: unrivalled, world-class facilities that set new standards for residents and tourists,” said Ali Rashid Lootah, Chairman of Nakheel.
