A new initiative titled Fixables has been launched through a collaboration involving Philips Personal Health, 3D printing leader Prusa Research, and creative agencies LePub Amsterdam and LePub Milan. Designed to advance sustainability in a consumer-centric manner, the program provides open access to 3D-printable files for selected Philips Personal Health accessories. The initiative supports a more circular product lifecycle by enabling users to produce and replace parts independently. This approach reduces waste and empowers consumers to extend the usability of their devices without compromising quality or performance.

Fixables: Empowering Consumers Through Repairable Design
According to an official statement, the Fixables initiative directly responds to a growing shift in consumer behaviour: a desire to repair and maintain products rather than replace them. The program aims to empower users, putting them in the driver’s seat, by merging Philips’ engineering standards with the creative capabilities of the global maker community. Leveraging Prusa Research’s established ecosystem of 3D printing tools and distribution networks, the initiative seeks to scale accessible, circularity-minded solutions and engage a broader audience.
Central to the initiative is creating a digital library containing open-access, 3D-printable replacement parts for selected Philips Personal Health products. These files will be made broadly available to support the natural wear and tear over time. The Fixables platform enables users to replace small components easily, helping extend their products’ functional lifespan. All parts are designed to meet Philips’ rigorous standards for quality and safety, ensuring reliable performance for years to come.
New parts will continue to be added to the Philips Fixables platform and made available on Printables.com, allowing users from all over the world to download and print components at home or through certified Fixables partners. The initial pilot program will launch in Czechia, supported by a global site accessible for all, with additional market expansions expected, ensuring that everyone can be part of this sustainable initiative.
Fixables Signals a New Standard in Sustainable, Repairable Products
“Fixables shows the value of collaboration with the passionate, creative community who love the Philips brand and the power of developing solutions together. By teaming up, we’re shaping a new circular model, helping turn sustainable intention into sustainable action,” said Marcin Molin, Head of Personal Health – Central & Eastern Europe Region. “This is an important first step to making repair and maintenance a real, practical option for more people. It supports our mission to make our product life cycles last longer.”
“Repair culture is in our DNA,” said Josef Průša, “and collaborating with Philips on Fixables means we’re not just building parts—we’re building a more sustainable future.”
Bruno Bertelli, Global CEO of LePub and Chief Creative Officer of LePub Worldwide, emphasised the initiative’s deeper purpose: “It’s not just about access to parts. It’s about giving people the tools, mindset, and pride to fix what’s theirs. It’s where product meets purpose, and where collaboration meets creativity.” His remarks underscore the campaign’s dual focus on practical utility and cultural impact, positioning Fixables as both a functional tool and a catalyst for shifting attitudes around ownership, repair, and sustainability.
