The firm picks politically-savvy communications expert to lead media solutions for its global clients while based in Washington, D.C.

MWW Public Relations has named Erin Bzymek to the dual role of lead media strategist and account supervisor, an appointment which will see her stationed at the firm’s Washington, D.C. office to oversee media relations programmes and develop strategic messaging for the brand’s global clients.

Bzymek has nearly a decade’s worth of experience within the communications sector and brings to her newly afforded commission, a diverse background that spans working on political campaigns and with non-profit organisations. Prior to joining MWW, she was the senior press secretary for the BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of America’s largest labour unions and environmental organisations.

She has also worked on Capitol Hill for influential members of Congress, as Deputy Press Secretary to New Jersey Congressman, Frank Pallone, and for the House Energy and Commerce Committee under former Michigan Congressman and Committee Chairman, John Dingell.

She previously also completed a stint as Deputy Press Secretary for North Carolina, working on President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign as well as the Minnesota DFL in 2006. Bzymek is originally from Northville, Michigan. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Political Science.

“Erin’s extensive communications background enhances our rapidly growing Capitol office. Her combination of political savvy and Beltway media relationships will be a tremendous asset to our public affairs clients, particularly those engaged in crisis communications and issues management,” said Paul Tencher, National Director of Public Affairs and GM of MWWPR’s Washington, D.C. office.
