The switch in roles supports the brand’s aim to strengthen its network and business to meet the evolving need of clients and the industry

Lightspeed has named Martin Filz (pictured left) to the role of Chief Executive Office, Asia Pacific with the appointment set to take effect on 1 January 2016. He transitions to aforementioned position from his current commission as the firm’s CEO for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

The switch supports the brand’s aim to strengthen its network and business to meet the evolving need of clients and the industry. Meanwhile, President and Global Chief Executive Office, David Day (pictured right), will see his responsibilities expand to include the capacity of Interim Chief Executive Officer, EMEA.

Having assumed multiple senior executive roles throughout his career, Filz has more than 20 years of experience in building businesses within multicultural and -lingual environments and has been involved with online research for the past decade across both the APAC and EMEA regions. He joined the company four years ago.

Since 2011, his strong leadership and industry expertise have played an important role in the growth and development of the agency’s EMEA operations. Lightspeed has started an active search for the new APAC head’s replacement. In the short term, Day will fulfil the said function.

The group’s stable of brands features some of the most successful providers of online access panels namely Lightspeed GMI, Lightspeed All Global, and Lightspeed Financial Services Group. Headquartered in New Jersey, it is part of Kantar, the data investment management arm of WPP.
