The two are collaborating to renew the thread of an inspired story which began in 1983 when she became the first face of the brand

Lancôme has engaged Isabella Rossellini to spread the brand’s particular vision of femininity worldwide. Dubbed an inspiring woman by the marque, the two are collaborating to renew the thread of an inspired story which began in 1983 when she became the first face of the brand.

Her role then was to proclaim the brand’s values loud and clear in her own unique way. For fourteen years, the fashion icon was a natural embodiment of the name. Today, at 63, she represents an intelligent and accomplished woman, who at every stage of her life has made time her best ally and wellbeing her greatest strength.

Serving as a symbol of femininity which continually reinvents itself, Rossellini will serve as a spokes-model for the brand on a regular basis to share the secret of her happiness and opinions on how to accomplish genuine beauty. Her words will be relayed in the press, online as well as at special events.

The daughter of Italian director, Roberto Rossellini, and Swedish actress, Ingrid Bergman, Lancôme’s new muse is herself a silver screen juggernaut and free spirit. She was recently in Enemy by Denis Villeneuve, Joy by David O. Russell, and on stage to mark the centenary of her mother’s birth.

“Beyond Lancôme’s values, which she represents so quintessentially, Isabella embodies the idea of an accomplished beauty that is synonymous with wellbeing. She also maintains a very positive and serene attitude to age, which she experiences as liberating and self-affirming,” said Françoise Lehmann, General Manager of Lancôme.
