The tie-up will see both brands co-market and sell sporting-themed apparel, trackers, apps, and online training programmes

Fashion designer, Gym Aesthetics has forged a partnership with technologies and device developer, Gymwatch, to bring to market sporting-themed apparel, trackers, apps, and online training programmes as a unified entity. Based in Germany, both companies specialise in the business of fitness.

The former has been making waves in the clothing category since 2013 and is known for its designer wear targeting bodybuilders and avid gym-goers. The brand’s popularity spiked during the spring of 2014, when its presence was noticed at the Fibo Global Fitness exhibition held in Cologne.

Meanwhile, the latter launched its pilot product last year called the Gymwatch Sensor, a fitness tracker designed to measure the full range of motion and strength expended across more than 900 different exercises. The gadget provides real-time feedback via Bluetooth to a companion app for personal trainer experience.

“Big brands like Under Armour and Nike have developed or snapped up fitness apps in order to offer digital sports products in their portfolio. Partnering with Gymwatch enables our companies to more effectively compete with these brands,” said Aleksandar Duric, Co-founder and Managing Director of Gym Aesthetics.
