GlobeAir, a leading European air taxi company, has signed Nico Hülkenberg, the Formula One driver and winner of the 2015 Le Mans-24 hours race, as its first brand ambassador.

The brand said that it has undertaken marketing and communication activities aimed at consolidating its business on the international scene.

“Nico Hülkenberg is a strong and passionate professional. Winning the Le Mans-24 Hours race he proved his talent with an extraordinary performance. In that competition, as in the aviation business, precision and dedication are fundamental strengths necessary to excel. These are precisely the qualities that are embodied in our corporate culture,” said Bernhard Fragner, CEO of GlobeAir.

A private jet company, GlobeAir is a European market leader in the light jet market segment, offering charter flights on-demand at affordable fares. It operates the world’s largest fleet of modern Citation Mustang jets, which are capable of landing at airports such as St. Tropez, Lugano and St. Moritz, typically inaccessible to traditional airlines and larger private jets.

Commenting on his new role, Nico Hülkenberg said, “When I first had the chance to fly with GlobeAir I immediately became a big fan. Landing with their Citation Mustang jets into small airports is very convenient and time-saving. For instance, from Le Mans or Zeltweg I can reach the circuit in just a few minutes. Plus, every time I book my flight with GlobeAir I travel with the confidence that everything is well taken care of and I can focus completely on my next race.”

Nico Hülkenberg entered Formula One after he became 2009 GP2 champion, having begun in karting at the age of nine. Since 2010, he has competed in the FIA Formula One World Championship and he is currently racing for team Force India. In 2015, he won Le Mans 24-Hours race on his first attempt, becoming the first contemporary F1 driver to take victory since 1991.
