Previously Holiday Inn, the property has undergone a $4 million facelift and is owned by Lowcountry Hotels

DoubleTree by Hilton has initiated the roll-out of its latest hotel. A 142-room property situated across the street from the North Charleston Convention Centre, the destination is parked two miles from the local airport and 10 miles from the city’s historic central downtown hub.

Formerly Holiday Inn, the establishment has undergone a $4 million (approximately £2.8 million) facelift which includes a complete redesign of the lobby, guestrooms, and restaurant. The transformed edifice is owned by Lowcountry Hotels and managed by Fennell Holdings.

The spot’s interiors combine the elements of suspended wood sculptures, marbled quartz, and hardwood accent to complement the laid-back culture and beach-calming vibe of the locale in which it is positioned. Meanwhile, its featured shades and displays capture key landmarks in the area.

The brand new North Charleston Convention Centre venue provides a suite of services encompassing a 24-hour business and fitness centre, seasonal outdoor pool which opens from Memorial to Labour Day, and complimentary area shuttle service, among other highlights.

Nearby tourist attractions include the Cypress Gardens, Fire Truck Museum, and primary plantations including Magnolia, Middleton Place, and Boone Hall. For business travellers, close proximity to the corporate office buildings of Boeing, Cummins, Robert Bosh, and Joint Base Charleston is an added bonus.

“Whether for business or pleasure, DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston Convention Center is poised to become a top hotel choice for visitors seeking full-service accommodations and our award-winning guest experience,” said Dianna Vaughan, Global Head at DoubleTree by Hilton.
