Global public relations firm Ketchum announced that Christy Salcido has rejoined the agency as SVP and director of the Ketchum West Brand Marketing Practice. Based in Los Angeles, Salcido will focus on supporting Ketchum West’s brand marketing clients while using her depth and breadth of expertise to enhance and grow the Ketchum West Brand Marketing Practice.

“We are thrilled to have Christy return to Ketchum, and we anticipate that her energy and experience will make her a great success in this important leadership role,” said Dave Chapman, partner and director of Ketchum West.

Salcido first joined Ketchum immediately after graduating from the University of Southern California in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations. She spent 10 years at the agency in both its Los Angeles and New York offices, building her career and reputation as a consumer brand expert. She has extensive experience leading strategic and integrated campaigns for a diverse group of high-profile brands, including an in-house role as VP of public relations at Starbucks Coffee Company.

Prior to rejoining Ketchum, Salcido was most recently SVP at Porter Novelli, and before that she served as VP of marketing for CHAYA Restaurant Group. Additionally, she served as communications director for TV producer Norman Lear’s nonprofit youth voting campaign, Declare Yourself, where she helped drive an unprecedented number of under-age-30 voters to the polls during the 2004 presidential election.
