The initiative emphasises the brand’s commitment to key airline firsts and a huge breadth of content on its High Life channel

British Airways has added in-flight hypnotherapy to its suite of services for passengers in a bid to help travellers begin their journey to improved health and well-being right from the comfort of their seats. The initiative emphasises its commitment to key airline firsts and a huge breadth of content on its High Life entertainment channel.

From March 2016, customers on long-haul flights, including the airline’s business class only service to New York from London City, can take time out to sit back and relax while listening to a series of five 30-minute programmes recorded by UK hypnotherapist, Mark Bowden (pictured).

The sessions cover how to lose weight, stop smoking, give up alcohol, eat more fruit and vegetables, and develop a more positive mental attitude. Troy Warfield, the carrier’s Director of Customer Experience, has expressed excitement over being the first brand in the country to offer up such a unique proposition.

“Our customers can enjoy over 1,300 hours of programmes, films, and music including Slow TV, our exclusive Tate channel, audio books for language learning, as well as TV box sets and the very latest movie blockbusters,” said Warfield. The series help listeners to ‘retrain’ the brain into healthier habits and behaviours.
