The pick includes full-time female coach, Becky Hammon, and three-time champion, Bruce Bowen, who join Spurs legend, Kawhi Leonard

BBVA Compass, the official bank of the NBA, has added two San Antonio Spurs icons to its roster of brand ambassadors. Extending its sponsorship agreement with the team, the twin pick includes the league’s full-time female coach, Becky Hammon, and three-time champion, Bruce Bowen.

The duo joins decorated Spurs forward, Kawhi Leonard, who was named the financial service provider’s local brand ambassador in 2014. As their new roles, Hammon and Bowen will boost the bank’s brand in multiple ways—from advertising campaigns to community involvement activities.

The former made NBA history in August 2014, when she was hired as an assistant coach for the Spurs. She was tasked with leading the team during the 2015 NBA Summer League presented by Samsung, becoming the first female head coach of a Summer League team and the first female to win the title.

Meanwhile, the latter was signed in the 2001-2002 season, and took home championship trophies in 2003, 2005, and 2007 respectively. Since retirement in 2009, he has continued to be active in the community. Earlier in December, he surprised many with gift cards for the bank’s Project Blue Elf and 12 Days of Brightness holiday initiatives.

“We’ve chosen a trio of talented individuals to represent our brand in one of our most important markets. They’re champions, pioneers, and the kind of ambassadors who can inspire us to set higher goals and reach them,” said Manolo Sanchez, Chairman and CEO of BBVA Compass.
