Opening on 26 December 2015, the store’s UAE premiere is pursuant to a joint venture between the brand and Majid Al Futtaim Fashion

Abercrombie & Fitch has rolled out its first store in the UAE with the said outlet situated at Dubai-based luxury shopping centre, the Mall of Emirates. Scheduled to open its doors on 26 December 2015, the store’s premiere is pursuant to a joint venture between the brand and Majid Al Futtaim Fashion.

The aforementioned location is the retail giant’s third in the region, and follows the recent debut of two others in Kuwait earlier in 2015. The move marks several firsts for the marque, including a newly designed concept store featuring a stand-alone fragrance boutique and a carve-out for the abercrombie kids line.

The 18,000 square foot gallery is one of the largest Abercrombie & Fitch mall-based stores globally and features the brand’s signature style and shopping environment. According to Rajiv Suri, CEO at Majid Al Futtaim Fashion, there is a significant demand for the brand in the Middle East, rendering it a perfect fit for the brand in the market.

“Expansion in key growth markets remains a priority for us. There is a strong affinity for our brand in this part of the world and we are excited to continue our development in the region in partnership with Majid Al Futtaim Fashion,” said Michael Scheiner, Senior Director, Marketing & Communications at Abercrombie & Fitch.
