Princess Cruises has partnered with Playing for Change and the Otis Redding Foundation for the golden jubilee of (Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.

Princess Cruises has teamed up with Playing for Change and the estate of Otis Redding to create a video celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of iconic hit, (Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay. Filmed in port cities visited by the brand, the clip features mutiple travel destinations.

The include San Francisco, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Hawaii, Jamaica, and Barcelona. The latest edition to the Songs Around the World series by Playing for Change, it features a lineup starring Jack Johnson, Corrine Bailey Rae, Irie Love, Mar Sanchez, and Aloe Blacc.

The others on board are James Gadson, Clair Finley, Louis Mhlanga, Dexter Redding, Otis Redding III, students from the Otis Redding Foundation Music Camp, and the Rass Brass Extension. Video proceeds will benefit the Otis Redding Foundation and Playing for Change.

Both organisations support youth empowerment through music education. The video will be screened on board the ships operated by Princess Cruises, while also available on YouTube. Until 31 March 2019, guests and viewers can donate aboard or online via a dedicated site.

The Princess Community Foundation will match donations up to $25,000. The sixth most-played track of the twentieth century and streamed over 200 million times, the song was the first in pop music history to posthumously top the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B charts.
