Nickelodeon has joined forces with the National Football League in line with its Big Game themed project, Double Dare at the Super Bowl.

Nickelodeon and the National Football League have partnered to get families pumped up for the Big Game with the release of Double Dare at Super Bowl. The spot premieres on 3 February across the brand’s main network, Nicktoons, and TeenNick.

On top of behind-the-scenes access to the Opening Night, interviews with players, and a sneak peek at Super Bowl Live and the festivities in Atlanta, Double Dare at Super Bowl is a 45-minute episode. The competition will see athletes with kids handle trivia and physical challenges.

Hosted by Liza Koshy with colour commentary from Marc Summers, the teams will include Drew Brees and Russell Wilson and Nickelodeon stars, Scarlet Spencer and Dallas Dupree Young. The special will be taped on the Play Football field at the Super Bowl Experience.

The teams will be competing for a $10,000 donation to a fellow pro-social partner of each brand, which are PlayWorks and Special Olympics respectively. The former is a non-profit which uses the power of play to improve the social and emotional health of kids through increased opportunities at physical activity in schools.

The latter offers year-round training and athletic competition across a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, allowing them to develop their fitness and skills. Fans with Super Bowl Experience tickets can register to attend the taping of Double Dare at Super Bowl via mobile.
