A series of activations by Macy’s entails events across America, panel discussions, and inspiring stories featuring Jencarlos Canela.

Macy’s has secured a partnership with international recording artiste, Jencarlos Canela, in line with the country’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations which run until 16 October. The pop culture influencer’s music and entertainment expertise are being tapped into for the campaign.

A series of activations featuring the star will include events across the United States. Upcoming panel discussions will see the musician and actor share inspiring stories with customers through live, candid conversations. He most recently played the lead role, Jesus Christ, in The Passion on FOX.

Canela also starred as Xavier Castillo in Telenovela opposite Eva Longoria. Music-wise, he newly concluded his latest Spanish single, Pa Que Me Invitan, which releases in the fall. Additionally, he is in the studio currently working on his English-language album debut for Republic Records.

Macy’s Hispanic Heritage Month events take place nationwide to include its stores in Miami, Chicago, Houston, New York City, Santa Clara, and Los Angeles. Customers stand to be part of a conversation with Canela about his cultural heritage and the role it has played in his lifestyle and career.

“We are proud to be a part of this celebration with special in-store events from coast-to-coast, where we honour and recognise the achievements and contributions Hispanics have made to our nation in all aspects of society,” said Dineen Garcia, Vice president of Diversity Strategies at Macy’s.
